Shad - TSOL
Shad, a Kenyan-born, Canadian-raised artist of Rwandan ancestry, has delivered one of hip-hop’s best albums of the year: TSOL. Shad is a clever storyteller with a knack for witty, heartfelt lyrics with a conscious message. The album introspectively tackles issues largely ignored in hip-hop music: broken relationships, social justice, the fight against apathy, the role of women in a man’s life and hip-hop. He addresses these topics without sounding like an angry, self-righteous preacher. TSOL is a welcome addition for backpackers, hip-hop heads, and fans of conscious rappers à la vintage Common and Talib Kweli.
you can by the album on iTune.
